Garden Shows Programme 2010

Following the great sucess of the Little Bentley Hall Waterways & Garden Show in June 2007 when £110,000 was raised for local Charities, the following Charity Garden Shows have now been planned for  2010

THIS  WILL  BE AN ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT THE BEAUTIFUL GARDENS OF LITTLE BENTLEY HALL FROM 5th-6th JUNE 2010.

Trade Stands were by invitation only so if you feel your products would be suitable please contact Nigel as the next show will be in 3 years time in 2013.

Events at the 2010 Show were

  Gala  Evening -   Friday 4th June 6pm - 9pm

Kindly sponsored by Thompson Smith & Puxon

 This was a private event by Invitation only for about 750 guests. Wine ,Canapes and a stroll in the Gardens, plus Art Exhibition, Antiques Valuations, and the Trade Stands will be open for a little retail theropy.

The Minden Band of the Queens Division  played during the evening

Tickets for Friday were by  a Minimum Donation of £15 each. For Invitation contact the Show Office.

Saturday   & Sunday  Public Days

The Show will be open from 10am - 5pm

 Entry Fee - £7.  Children under 15  Free.   No Concessions. 

Groups of 20 or more may obtain advance Group Entry Tickets. £4 or £5 (See Group Page).

Main features apart from the beautiful  Gardens & Waterways  will be

 CLA Charitable Trust SCHOOLS  'Butterfly Barrel' competition -  to create a garden in a container that will atract Bufferflies & friendly Bugs; this is open to all Schools & youth groups in Essex & surrounding Counties - p lease go to Butterfly Barrel Page on the websites for more details and obtain an entry form to send to us.

SILENT AUCTION , run by Colchester Centurion Rotary Club - we have just started the collection of items for this auction - if you have anything that you think might be suitable please make contact; we expect some excellent items available for sale, and all will be offered on the basis that they will be sold without reserve by the time the Show closes on Sunday evening. Possible lots include "Visit to the Gallops at Lambourn", "Breakfast at a racing Stable", a day's shooting, Sporting Tickets etc. 

FINE ART SHOW -  Open to local  Artists. Book a 8'x4' Art Display Board now.

ANTIQUES VALUATIONS  with Antiques experts from Sworders of Sudbury .Bring along your items for Valuation

Visit over 60  TRADE STANDS.- See Tradetands Page to Book Stands.

HOT & COLD FOOD  will be available all day provided by

 FOOD  - English Hog Roast  -   Traditional English Sausages  -  The Deli  -  French Crepes  - Tea & Coffee -  Pimms Bar
TEA GARDEN - Afternoon Teas will be provided in the Tea Garden from 2 -4.30 pm

Disabled Access is possible in the gardens but is limited in some areas, particularly around the waterways.

Sorry No Dogs and No Picnics.

SUNDAY SERVICE - PRAISE IN THE GARDEN -  10.30 Sunday -   We will hold an informal  multi faith service in the Garden, with the Colchester Salvation Army  Band and Choirs. For more information please contact our Show Director  nigel@garden-shows.com
